I don't know what happened, but I think I came out of the womb a fangirl. I am in so many fandoms it's insane! I can't even keep track. So back in 2012 I was completely obsessed with the 1992 Disney musical, "Newsies".
One of my best friends and I were in the same French II class Sophomore year and we had to make a powerpoint presentation telling a story using our French vocab words (most of them, if I remember correctly, were about traveling: trains, planes, airports...) We sat across the room from a giant French version of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" poster. (BTW, I had also been obsessed with "Pirates" since about 5th grade. Yeah, I was a weird kid...) The two of us got the bright idea to combine these two movies, "Newsies" and "Pirates" and base our French project on this epic tale and we called it "Pirates (et Newsies) des Aeriennes des Caraibes: A la fin du monde" (the title didn't all fit on deviantart). If you don't understand French, in English it's "Pirates (and Newsies) of Caribbean Airlines: At the End of the World" (obviously playing off "At World's End". I stumbled upon the slides and the dialogue recently and I was practically peeing my pants. It's such a weird concept.
